Spring break
Over spring break I planned several activities to keep us busy. The kids were most thrilled about camping at Campland on the Bay. It really is cheater camping with heater restrooms, pools, a restraunt, store etc... But it's so much fun there, we can't resist. Too bad Mason, Marlie and I had to leave early because they were sick. I hardly got any pictures :-( I was too busy taking care of sickies.
We had so much fun on Olvera Street!
JP and Aric unloading the wood from the boat. They carried the swamp thing down to the bay and rowed it around. The kids were thrilled. Too bad the water is so icky, it would be fun to splash around in it.
Mason loved the freedom he had while were camping. He ran all over the place, ate dirt, poked things with sticks etc... It didn't last long though, we was really sick by the second day.
Marlie was thrilled to take such a long trip on the train.

A few days after our camping trip, I had planned for us to take a train trip to LA. It ended up that only Marlie and I were able to go, the boys were still too sick. It turned out nice though, we haven't had hardly any Marlie and Mom time since Mason was born. Instead of calling our days out "mommy and Marlie days" we've been calling them "M days" (Marlie, Mom and Mason). So we finally had some time to ourselves. We hopped on the train at 7am (yawn!) and arrived in LA around 10am. We took a tour of Olvera street, and toured the museums and shops. We found a nice mexican place to lunch and to rest our feet. After lunch we shopped and ate some yummy churros. The ride home was shorter, because we both fell asleep!!
