Snacking Tips from Mason

Now I know I'm only a toddler, but I've figured out some great snacking ideas. Since my mom has a blog I thought I'd write about it for all the toddlers out there.

#1 Many of you have snack bowls, right on the floor! Did you know that? Probably over half of you toddlers have snacks right at your level! If you have one of those 4 legged toys, look around carefully! You will have a snack bowl and a small splashing pond either inside your house or right by the back door. The snacks are salty, but if you're hungry it's pretty satisfying. Moms really hate it when you eat out of those snack bowls so be extra quiet, it throws them off.

#2 We have big brown snack doors at our house. Your snack doors might be a different color. Ours have some sort of device on them to keep them closed. It's no problem though, just pull one door out as much as you can and reach your hand in the space. You can pull pretty much anything out in about 5 seconds. Moms will usually give you anything from here if you smile and say "uh oh" the whole time.

#3 Our big black snack holder has water that comes right out of it. Of course you need to be tall enough to reach it, and have some sort of container for the water (pretty much any toy works great, if you can find a cup, that's my personal favorite). Once you figure out how to use the water, it's open drinks all the time. Be careful though, my mom gets upset when I spill the water on the floor, something about it being slippery.

#4 To find the mecca of all snacks, check out the floor of the kitchen and or dining room. The people in my house drop so much food. I can't figure out why they let so much go to waste. My mom says it's "yucky", whatever that means. There's tons of snacks to be had right at your fingertips.

#5 Moms keep all the best snacks *hidden* in a large container. Our snack drawer has a handle and pulls right out. Your hidden container might be in a different place, so keep looking until you find it. Anyway, it's another one of those "yucky" things, or so my mom says. I just try to get my snacks when she's not looking, less trouble that way. So I say, go for it!

That's all for now friends, it's my nap time. Tune in next time when I'll be talking about good hiding places!
