12 Days

What would you do if you had 12 days, 3 hours per day, alone with one of your children? Some people would think, "No big deal". But with 4 kids, 36 hours alone with one child over a 3 week span is awesome!! Bryce and Blake are taking summer classes for 3 weeks. I wanted Marlie to take something too, but she wasn't intrested. When I added up the cost of the classes for 3 kids, I decided it was okay if she didn't want to take them, LOL.
The super cool thing is that after I drop the boys off at class, we come home and put Mason to bed. That leaves us about 3 hours alone, no boys, no Daddy, just Marlie and I. There are so many things that I've been wanting to do with her. This gave us the perfect opportunity!

Monday, after we got home from dropping the boys off at class, we talked about what things we could do together for the next 3 weeks. Marlie's list was pretty basic: bake, paint and sew. So after we put Mason to bed, the first order of the day was making bananna muffins. After that we finished reading, "5 True Dog Stories". Then we dug through my fabric boxes to find scraps for the quilt she wants to make. It was so nice to have that time with just Marlie!

The muffin girl!

Tuesday was even more fun than Monday, we baked, painted, started reading Dr. Doolittle, and played Bingo Bunch.

The blueberry cobbler turned out so pretty!

Our paintings :-)

I'm not sure what's on the agenda for today, I'll have to talk to my coordinator ;-) But I'm thrilled about this time we have together!
