Spring water fun!
It's always a challege to entertain Mason on nice days like today. He wants to play outside (and so do all the big kids), but we have to finish math first! So I dragged out our old water table, and set him up with a water play space. We bought this water table when the older boys were little from Lakeshorelearning.com. They broke the bucket that came with it, so I replaced it with a similar shaped bucket from Home Depot. The Home Depot bucket is for mixing concrete and costs about 7 bucks. If you don't have a water table, the bucket is perfect to sit on the ground and fill full of water
.
Here's our set up. I filled the bucket with warm soapy water. Then I raided my cupboards to find containers and cups for him to play with. I ended up with a few measuring cups, some different shaped cups, a turkey baster, the bottom of a Popsicle mold, a few spoons, and a chuckie cheese token cup (it had a hole in the bottom!)
Maso was super excited to see what I had set up for him.
Discovering a hole in the bottom of the cup!
Hmmm, the water coming out of the hole, fills up a container!
And the baster squirts water!!!
And there you have it, a super easy way to occupy a preschooler on a warmish spring day!
