Remind me never to go to the grocery store again!

So I went to the grocery store today. JP took the big kids with him to visit his grandma in the hospital, so it was just Mason and I. When you only have one kid in the store you notice things, like the songs that are playing over the speaker. So there I am, picking apples when I heard the beginning melody of a song. I'm thinking "No way, they can't be about to play *that* song." Oh yeah, only in California will they play "Nasty" by Janet Jackson over the loud speaker on a Sunday afternoon in the grocery store :-O

You notice others things, when you aren't distracted by 3 other kids...like for example, little grimy kids putting their hands in the bulk bins! Ewww how have I missed that all these years? This little boy, who looked about 6, kept opening the bins, and taking food out! I was going to politely mention it to his mom, until I saw her do the same thing! They were both taking a pretzel, candy, cracker etc out of the bin, looking at it, then putting it back! I found the manager and told him. He put a stop to it, but I don't think I'll be able to buy from the bulk area for a loooong time.

So by now I'm done shpping and in the line. Mason is sound asleep in the sling. The checkers asks how old he is and I tell him, "He's 6 weeks". He asked a few other questions, and somehow the topic of if he sleeps comes up. I laughed and said that he still sleeps about 18 hours a day, but it's nice because I have 3 other kids at home. So then he proceeds to go into this long monologue about how in the evolutionary chain, the more kids you have, the more they sleep because they know they won't get as much attension. But they are healthier than the older kids because the first kids leeched mercury and other dangerous toxins from the moms body, and then it progressed to how the American Dental Society knows how dangerous mercury is and that unborn children leach it and it goes to their brains........Ummm I just wanted to check out...
