Happy belated birthday Marlie!!

It must be a bummer to have a Christmas birthday. Like JP always says, "You have to share your birthday with God."

Yesterday we had Marlie's birthday party (even though she turned 6 on December 28th.) With a new baby and the holidays, we had decided to wait a while to have her party. I needed something easy, and she wanted something with animals. So we had her party at the Humane Society.

It was so great to show up at 5 minutes to 3 for a 3:00 party. The room was already decorated and there was an "educator" there that ran the whole party. She had crafts set up that the kids got do make, and she took us thru all the animal habitats. Marlie got to choose 3 animals to come visit her party. She chose a dog, rabbit and a guinea pig. All the kids had a marvelous time visiting with the animals.

The rabbit Mar Mar is holding is this picture was so friendly! I've never seen such a friendly rabbit! It hopped right up into the kids laps. Rabbits are usually such nervous animals, but this one wasn't afraid at all! A few months ago, I told Marlie that we'd buy her a rabbit when we move. She dying to get a new house so she can get her rabbit.
