Windows and a kitchen!!!!

This past week was insane. Bright and early Monday morning, the kids and I went over to the house to meet the window installer. In no time, he made gaping holes in my house, where the old sliders used to be! It was suppoded to take 3 days to install the doors and windows, but ended up taking until Friday.

Here's the back of the house, with the new windows installed. They went in pretty easy, the hard time was all of the trim work on the inside.

The biggest job of all was the balcony sliding door. It took 4 guys to hoist the thing up and over the balcony (there was no way to get it inside and up stairs).

When they were taking the old door out, they Broke the old door. It shattered with a huge bang that scared my poor mom to death. She was in the closet painting. She thought they dropped the new door! There was glass everywhere, on the balcony, in the bedroom and on the driveway One of the installers cut his arm on the glass. It's been 4 days and I'm still finding pieces of glass on the driveway.

Here's little Maso's room. It's not done, yet, but it's coming along.

Blake's room is all painted.

Marlie's room is shockingly pink. I don't love it, but she does! My aunt gave her an antique bed that belonged to my great grandmother. It looks so cute in there.

Thursday morning at 7:30 we met the cabinet installer at the house. He banged out our kitchen in 2 days. It looks so awesome! My mom painted the kitchen on Tuesday, it's the color of my current kitchen. :-)

It was a loooong week, and everyone was exhausted. This week won't be quite so crazy. Hopefully I can spend more time at home packing up for the big move!
